Salt Life Fishing

We had an awesome experience with captain Justin Mcarthy and Nico who was a helping hand on our half-day charter. The morning started early with us quiclky catching some keepers. After a successful day of fishing Justing and Nico organized for the fish to be cleaned while we all enjoyed a couple of beers at the local pub. Overall it was a great experience and the crew were very friendly and patient with us newbies!

There are few things which would get me out of bed for 05:30hrs, but for a great days fishing I can easily make an exception. Julian our Captain for the day, had been highly communicative and had arranged to pick my wife and I up from our accomodation. Once onboard, we quickly made our way across the bay and started fishing. With the sunrise, we were surrounded by dolphins and quickly started pulling in fish. With a highly conscientous "Catch & Release" policy we were carefully putting back any fish which we didn't target. As the sun rose higher, a Whale breached nearby, along with a mother and calf just swimming no more that 200 yards away. All of a sudden I felt the pulll on the line and brought in a monster KOB weighin in at 14.8kg. We were elated, and adding a couple of Red Stumpnoses we called it a day. Back on dry land, Julian had arranged for the fish to be cleaned and brought to a local restaurant where we spend an amazing afternoon cooking the fish on a Brai, drinking beer and chatting about fish we would like to catch. Of all the places I have been fishing, this tops the lot.
